Florida Probate is conducted in probate courts which are a division of the circuit court for the county in which the person who died was domiciled (presently residing with the intent to remain) or owned real estate in his or her sole name and did not have an enhanced life estate deed or a ladybird deed to transfer the remainder interest to than the Florida Probate Court would have jurisdiction to handle an ancillary probate matter where the decedent owned a fee simple interest in real estate in their sole name.

If a friend or family member passed away in any of the cities below and had property in their sole name that did not pass by a transfer on death designation, by operation of law such as joint tenants with rights of survivorship or by contract such as a retirement account or insurance policy then their probate administration would be in Broward County Probate Court.
